Ayham F. Shneker, MD Scope of Practice: Internal Medicine and Hospitalist
“Medical practice should be based on a noble relationship between patient and physician. The patient should trust the physician to take care of a priceless asset, the patient’s health. The physician should appreciate the honor given by this trust and do his best to provide quality medical care.”
A Hospitalist is a physician who specializes in the care of patients who are in the hospital. Because Hospitalists are typically Internal Medicine physicians and their focus is exclusively on patients within the hospital, they are highly skilled in caring for patients who are most ill.
