Sedro Woolley is called the Gateway to the North Cascades. It is located minutes east of Interstate-5 on Highway 20. Stanwood is the northern most city in Snohomish County and is located less than one hour north of Seattle. The town is nestled between Port Susan and Skagit Bay and is the only access point for more than 13,000 permanent residents of Camano Island. Stanwood offers historic buildings and a variety of restaurants and shopping. The area has traditionally been supported by the agricultural industry. Even today, the region’s top producers are in the seed, produce and meat industries. The population of Stanwood is approximately 5,200 people.
